Apheresis Registered Nurse

Kelly is hiring a Apheresis Registered Nurse for one of our research clients in Thousand Oaks, CA

• Hourly RN Level 1: $46.20 – $51.06 /hr
• Local candidates only

Schedule & Work Environment

• Hours: M–F, ~5:00/6:00 AM–3:00/3:30 PM
• Weekends: ~2/month on average to support scheduled collections (e.g., 2 hrs Sat, up to 6 hrs Sun for bone marrow when scheduled)
• Staff rotate weekend coverage to be fair to all. Staff would never work a full two weekend days. Seeking talent with willingness and flexibility to work that time, not someone who will gripe about it.
• Staff know the schedule about 1-2 weeks ahead of time, so they're most often not called to come in last minute.
• Closed on holidays
• Environment: High-end beautiful facility, calm, and patient-focused—much less hectic than a hospital.

Position Highlights

• Focus: Apheresis collections for research & drug development (pharma and academic clients)
• Patient-facing role with onsite lab testing
• Not seeking candidates limited to lab-based collection roles. Apheresis is performed most often in hospital or donor center facilities.

Ideal Candidate

• RN with recent experience in:
• Apheresis & venipuncture
• Hospital-based long platelet collections or donor centers
• Familiarity with Optia or similar equipment is a plus, but not required.
• Will consider seasoned RNs with strong fundamentals and decision-making from hospital settings
